A Cairo-area importer of printing consumables ordered screen printing varnish from a supplier in Guangdong. The volume did not justify a full container, so the cargo moved as an LCL consolidation from Shekou to Sokhna — Egypt’s Red Sea gateway for the Cairo market.

Chemicals in LCL are where most forwarders earn their mistakes. Varnish and printing liquids sit close to the classification line between general cargo and dangerous goods, and the decision is made on the formulation, not the name.
